I have a degree in Korean linguistics and literature and hold a Certificate of Korean Language Teacher, which is internationally recognized. Currently I'm teaching in Korean Culture centre in Sydney, Australia and it's a really diverse class, I enjoy a lot teaching and meeting different students from all over the world and italki is great platform for that. This led me to open my own Korean language school. It was located in the city of Fortaleza. From 2016 to 2021 more than 400 students studied in my school. During this period I gained extensive experience in planning language classes, preparing didactic material, and teaching Korean for people who never had contact with Korean before. Later on, due to the pandemic, we switched our classes to online which also gave me experience in teaching using online technologies. Besides Portuguese, I also have experience teaching Korean in English and Spanish.

TPRS (Fun and easy method) with 5 years of experience I had 3 years of teaching English to Koreans before I started teaching Korean. Because of these experiences, I assumed that teaching Korean would be easy for me. However, the reality was different from my imagination. Since I had never been a beginner in the Korean language, it was very hard for me to relate to the students. In the beginning, I had a hard time understanding how non-Koreans process Korean in their brain as a language. So, I had to put a lot of effort to see Korean sentences from the student’s perspective. Now with more experience, I have much more understanding of how students would feel when they encounter new sentences or expressions.
