I find it amazing to track the student's progress, and see how they would feel more comfortable with the language as we invested in this journey. Communication is key. I prepare a PowerPoint presentation with pronunciation tips (and accents), introduction to phonetic symbols (Portuguese phonetic tips) and the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese, isolated vocabularies and then small everyday phrases using such vocabulary, idioms, cultural curiosities and small doses of grammar when necessary. The student will be monitored during the class and I will always be attentive to corrections and improvements.
