Soy cercana y paciente: quiero que los estudiantes sientan la confianza de expresarse libremente y consultarme todas sus dudas. Las lenguas son comunicación. Por eso, entiendo perfectamente el "quiero hablar mucho y rápido" de los estudiantes. Sin embargo, soy muy partidaria del "hablar bien": la fluidez y poder hacerse entender son importantes, pero también la corrección, la adecuación léxica y al registro. ¡Se puede hablar mucho y bien a la vez! Y aprender gramática o vocabulario no significa tener que hacer solo un montón de ejercicios de repetición: se puede mejorar de forma divertida mediante conversaciones, juegos o canciones.

Tengo más de 15 años de experiencia como profesora, ayudando a hablar de manera confiada y fluida a personas desde 2 años de edad, hasta mayores de 70. Me parece que ejercitar un idioma a través de escuchar y hablar, nos ayuda a pensar en esa lengua, lo cual genera que nuestro cerebro se sienta mas confiado en practicar las estructuras propias del idioma practicado. La idea de practicar a través de conversaciones espontáneas, es porque en la vida pocas veces conoceremos el vocabulario y tema sobre el cuál tendremos que expresarnos. Las clases con niños son a través de canciones y juegos, para divertirnos, así pasarán un tiempo creativo y entretenido, mientras practican español.

Standar Spanish lessons for everyone with a communication focus I started volunteering at a social center for migrant population. There I realized that I loved teaching Spanish, because in addition to sharing my culture, I was also learning from my students. I have been teaching private lessons on a regular basis since 2020, and it is something I enjoy more and more every day. I want to keep improving as a Spanish teacher and keep learning from my students.

CELTA certification acquired in December 2020. My experience started in 2018 in Peru where I taught English in two language schools for a year. In the meantime I applied to be a community tutor here at Italki where I have been teaching not only English but also Portuguese and Spanish. My passion for teaching only grew with the time so I took a CELTA certificate in the end of 2020 and this experience provided me with a solid base and opened the way in many aspects of my career.

I've been teaching languages for a long time. I have experience working with students from all over the world and also different languages.

For the past 8 years I have been working in a public school in the Dominican Republic as a psychologist, attending and teaching children with learning and behavioral problems. I love helping people and I would like to use my knowledge to help you learn more about the Spanish language and have fun doing it. Durante los últimos 8 años he estado trabajando en una escuela pública en la República Dominicana como psicóloga, atendiendo y enseñando a niños con problemas de aprendizaje y de comportamiento. Me encanta ayudar a la gente y me gustaría utilizar mis conocimientos para ayudarte a aprender más sobre la lengua española y divertirte haciéndolo.

En este mundo con tantas exigencias y tantos problemas, el aprendizaje de un idioma tiene que ser algo divertido. Mis clases están orientadas a jóvenes y adultos con algún conocimiento previo del Idioma Español, y la temática de conversación es libre, pueden ser temas sociales, arte, música, economía, política o turismo. A partir de esas conversaciones, surgirán las dificultades gramaticales, lingüísticas y de pronunciación que se irán solucionando de a poco y de acuerdo a la necesidad. Así en forma divertida y ágil, se irá conociendo y perfeccionando el Idioma Español.

My knowledge comes mainly from own experience as a student, from my travels, and finally from all the pedagogic courses and seminars I have attended, books I've read and hands-on teaching experience I've acquired, with students from many different countries, ages, cultures and levels. These past 8 years I taught mainly Spanish and Portuguese, and have evolved as a teacher and as an person. Because I do not believe in separating personal life from professional life, as a teacher I like to be myself, and want my students to feel they can too. I feel joy in teaching and want to inspire the same joy in my students, and I think it's because of this that I'm able to adapt my lessons to everyone.
