A licensed teacher in Spanish, Swedish and English and a Polyglot (6 languages and counting) As a teacher, I am professional, structured and I know how to motivate my students - which is exactly why I have had success in my classrooms so far. Since I am a professional teacher - and by professional I mean licensed - I am familiar with the latest methods and approaches to teaching and learning. The fact that I speak four languages is useful for you as a student, as I can incorporate my knowledge of languages into the content that I deliver. Languages are seldom isolated; rather, they are interconnected in such as way that you, if you are able to master several languages, are much more likely to be able to explain grammatical concepts and structures in a pedagogical and digestible way.

Polyglot teacher with loads of language learning experience My goal as a teacher is to find out what your goals are and to help you achieve them. Being a language learner myself, I also know what kinds of challenges you might be facing and can help you develop strategies to overcome them. I am also quite easy-going and will never judge you for making a mistake. Mistakes are part of learning. I want to be your biggest supporter in learning Swedish and celebrate your progress with you.

Mostly Conversation Practice! Speak it till you make it! As a teacher I always try to figure out what each individual person needs to practice. That is why I like to have a simple conversation the first lesson and ask what the student wants to study and see what level they are in. I always try to make the lesson contents according to the students level. While teaching I always try to make sure my students speaks and expresses themselves as much as possible and I'll always encourage them and also fill in the blanks to give them a little push so they won't be stopping in the middle of the sentence.

I like to keep a mixture of fun and professional, in other words that I like to keep things fun and in a positive light where a joke is definitely possible. However, when it comes down to it I am serious in my desire to teach other people some of my languages and cultures.

Hi! I have been teaching Swedish for a couple of years and I have a good idea which words are important if you want to be able to communicate with people in real life. I have had students that hardly knew the alphabet when I started to teach them and I have had students that already spoke quite good Swedish when I met them. I am flexible as a teacher and I try to adapt my teaching to what my students need.

Learn Swedish in a fun and creative way with Language Parenting! I have been an online teacher for approximately one year. I am a positive and encouraging person and nothing motivates me more than seeing my students improve. I have seen my students go from not speaking Swedish at all to being able to have a conversation in the new language in as little as 6 months. It thrills and amazes me every time! I always try to speak Swedish as much as possible and if the student doesn´t understand me I use body language and description. I only translate to another language if it´s necessary. I am fluent in Swedish, English and German and I also speak some Hindi.

Certified teacher with over 14 years of teaching experience I'm friendly, flexible and very patient. I like discussing various topics such as music, films, food, technologies, traveling, culture, etc. I'm good at explaining grammar, so you can ask me any questions about that. I prefer not to push but to inspire, and individual approach is my main principle. I let the students study at their own pace, and I always try to find the best way to help them achieve their goals. I'm happy to see how my lessons help my students to travel, to communicate with their family members, to find work in another country, to get another citizenship, etc. I also hope I can help people from different countries understand each other better.

I began teaching Italian as a native speaking teacher in 2012. During the years I focused more on teaching German literature and language at university, I worked as high school teacher in German and Swedish as a second language and I took different training courses concerning language teaching, pedagogy and didactic. I see myself as a very patient and understanding teacher, who likes to explain, help, and try and try again until we reach our goals. As a teacher, I always think that I have a lot to learn from my students and I see teaching as a great opportunity to meet new people, share competences, interests and experiences and learn more about the world.

I like to be as responsive to the students requests as possible so depending on why they are learning the language I like to adjust the lessons. My personal belief (and also how I learn myself) is that the best way to learn is to be engaging with the language while having fun. I also encourage my students to dig deeper into the culture as this will really help them grow in the language I like recommending movies songs etc. As a person and as a teacher I am the one that tries to get through every day/task with a smile.

As a community teacher on Italki, I specialize in teaching Finnish. It is important for me to make the lessons suitable for each student, so I usually discuss students' preferences first and then provide my thoughts on how we should approach learning this language. The key is to keep the learning process interesting and fun, because that makes it also effective.
