Japanese quiz problem
I love quiz shows. One of my favorites is called "Somosan Seppa" (It means "What is this?""I will guess right").This program needs wits rather than knowledge amount. One problem I think interesting is like this: when a mouth is 3 and an eye is 4,a nose will be what?
The answer is "9". First, this is a problem about five senses. And in Japanese,3 can be called み(mi), 4 can be called し(shi) and 9 can be called きゅう(kyu). A sense associated with mouth is the taste, in Japanese みかく(mi-kaku). A sense associated with an eye is the sight, in Japanese しかく(shi-kaku). And a sense associated with is the smell, in Japanese きゅうかく(kyu-kaku).
Do you understand with my poor explanation? Unless you are interested in Japanese language, this might be boring...
[Very good. I like playing with words in English, and from what I have seen, Japanese is a also a good language with which to play with words.]
