Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student wanting to prepare for English exams or just practice/improve your language skills, I can help. Lessons are individually tailored to meet your needs, to help you rapidly learn and/or improve your language skills. This class is not a conversation class, but focuses on grammar.

One-on-One tutoring: English

If you want to improve your spoken English, this lesson gives you an opportunity to chat about a variety of topics. It is student led, and very informal, in a stress free environment aimed to increase confidence and fluency.

These lessons are aimed at students who need help with academic writing. They can be one-off to help with a specific project, or a series to guide you through a programme of study or writing a dissertation/thesis.

This class is designed for students who want to write creatively in English, as well as general essay writing. It focuses on the transition of language from the purely functional to the transformative. I am a writer, as well as a literature graduate, and so can help you write the sort of English that you have dreamed of.

Creative Writing for ESL Students

This course is designed especially for students who are studying art or work in the creative industries. As an artist myself, I am familiar with the vocabulary and structure that is used when writing or talking about art. The classes can focus on speaking for presentations, portfolio review, essay writing or whatever you, as an artist, need.

English for Artists

My specialisation was medieval Welsh non-fiction literature.

After a thorough grounding in classical art education, my masters thesis focused on the abstraction of the figure.

I teach children and adults, from beginner to near fluent levels. The classes are one-on-one and allow for a highly personalised educational experience.
