今日は月曜日なので「富士山情報」をお届けします。
皆さん、富士山に幻の滝があるのをご存知ですか？
ちょうど今頃、５月～６月にかけてのみ現れる滝です。

なぜ幻なのか、なぜ５月～６月だけなのかご説明します。

まず、最初に富士山の岩肌と水の関係についてお話しますね。
富士山には年間にたくさんの雨や雪が降ります。それらの水どうなると思いますか？
通常多くの山には川があり雨水は川となって麓（ふもと）へ流れていきます。しかし、富士山には川がありません。
なぜでしょう・・・・？

実は富士山の表面はとてもゴツゴツガサガサとして水を通しやすい火山噴出物でおおわれています。とても固いスポンジのような感じです。ですので、雨などはそのまま地下へ染み込んでいきます。地中奥深くへ染み込んだ水は富士山のいくつもの麓で湧き水として地表へ現れます。「忍野八海」や「柿田川湧水」「白糸の滝」などが有名ですが、ほかにも多数あります。

しかし、富士山の一か所だけ、年に一度だけ川が流れ、標高約2000ｍのところに滝が現れるのです。
なんとも不思議ですよね。

場所は須走口登山道から約２０分行ったところにあります。
登山道とは逆側に行かないとなりません。迷わないように看板やロープが設置されており、歩きやすくなっています。そうはいっても標高の高い山道なのでそれなりの装備は必要です。しばらく、木々の間や岩がゴツゴツした場所などを歩くと見通しの良い場所に出ます。晴れていれば下には山中湖、上を見れば富士山頂が見えます。

水の流れが激しい日は、そろそろ滝の音が聞こえてきます。
期待に胸を膨らませて進むとそこには滝が！
しばらく滝の流れを堪能した後は、滝の上へと上がり、そのまま川にそって登っていくことが出来ます。
流れ方によって川の音が変わり、景色が変わり、最高に気持ちいいです。

雪が解ける時にのみ現れる滝。
「幻」というだけあって、５月～６月といってもその年の雪の降り方や、気温によって現れる時期もかわります。
また、せっかく行っても流れていない日もあります。
ねらい目は雪解けが一気に進むような気温が高い日の午後。

さらに、「幻」なのは、この川、流れている途中で地面に染み込んでいき麓までは行きつきません。途中で川が消えてしまうのです。

なんとも不思議な川であり、滝ですよね。
見られたらラッキー。

Let’s face it, as human beings—complex, multifaceted individuals—we are perpetually immersed in thought. Whether we refer to it as "mind" or simply the constant stream of consciousness, these thoughts can often pull us away from our intended focus, particularly when studying.
