Esta semana continuaremos con nuevos episodios donde podrás aprender el uso de las palabras: FINALMENTE, AL FINAL, POR FIN, AL FINAL DE, EN FIN, A FINALES DE y A LA FINAL, que tienen un uso muy particular. 

Empecemos con las palabras  "AL FINAL, AL FINAL DE"

Uso de las palabras "AL FINAL, AL FINAL DE"

みなさんは「はずだ」の意味を知っていますか？例えば、あなたが日曜日に友達にあるカフェに行こうと誘われたとします。あなたはそのカフェは毎週日曜日が休みだと知っています。そんな時は「そのカフェは今日休みのはずだから違うカフェに行きましょう」と言うことができます。
「はずがない」というのは「はずだ」の否定形です。

今、カタールでサッカーのワールドカップが行われています。
おととい、ドイツ対日本のサッカーの試合がありました。
日本はドイツに２対１で勝ちました。
この結果には驚いた人がたくさんいると思います。
私も「日本がドイツに勝てるはずがない」と思っていました。

なぜ勝てるはずがないと思っていたかというと、ドイツのランキングは日本よりずっと上だからです。
日本のテレビでも「ドイツに勝つのはとても難しい」と言っていました。「日本が勝つだろう」と言っていた人はほとんどいませんでした。一方、ドイツでは「日本には簡単に勝てる」と思っていた人がほとんどだと思います。
だから、「日本がドイツに勝った」と友達から聞いた時は信じられませんでした。
「うそ？」「まじ？」「本当？」と言って、本当に勝ったかどうか何度も確認しました。
今は日本のチームがドイツに勝ったことがとてもうれしいです。
ちなみに日本代表チームの選手のほとんどがヨーロッパのチームでプレーしているそうです。

みなさんにも最近「うそ？」「まじ？」と言ってしまうような信じられない出来事が起きましたか？

対：たい　versus
勝つ：かつ　win
負ける：まける　lose
結果：けっか　result
信じる：しんじる　believe
何度も：なんども　many times
本当かどうか確認する：ほんとうかどうかかくにんする　make sure if it is true or not　
日本代表チーム：Japan national team
代表：だいひょう representative
うそ？： really? * ”うそ” literally means lie*
まじ？：really?  * sounds very casual*
本当？：ほんとう　really?

Conversation with My Chinese Student From China

Today's piece of vocabulary is "to strike a chord", which means to cause someone to feel sympathy, emotion, or enthusiasm. For instance,
"the issue of food safety strikes a chord with almost everyone"

Don't forget that "strike" is an irregular verb, so in the past tense this becomes "struck", as in "your speech really struck a chord with me".
