Natural English:
We are paying $65 a night for a room in a hotel. (Or ‘the room in our hotel’ or ‘our room in a/the hotel’ and others)
This is how to use ‘for’ correctly. It’s understood that you are staying there. The choice of articles gives the listener information about what kind of hotel and room options there are, and/or what factors are important to you.
It’s good to be aware of the kind of information that can be communicated with a small number of little words!
