One interesting aspect of Japanese culture is "Itadakimasu" and "Gochisousama-Deshita," which are Buddhist practices. We have/make particular gestures at the beginning and end of a meal. Customarily, we say "Itadakimasu" before starting a meal while placing our hands together. At the end of a meal, we say "Gochisousama-Deshita" with the same gesture as "Itadakimasu." These are practices (common/found) among Japanese people. Both represent expressing appreciation for the meal.
Another fascinating bit of culture is "Omotenashi," the art of Japanese hospitality. "Omotenashi" provides an excellent experience for visitors, and it was one of the symbols [I feel like "symbol" isn't quite the word you want here. It doesn't feel strong enough. I'm not sure we have a single word that carries the meaning I have in mind, but I might say something like, "standard-bearing expressions". That phase more emphatically expresses that Japan placed their hospitality front and center to represent themselves. Take all this as just a suggestion. ] of Japanese culture expressed/showcased in the Olympics held in Tokyo in 2021. I am proud that my country has such a rich and hospitable culture.
