Understanding involves perceiving what your friend or partner desires, then endeavoring to provide it. At times, they may seek support, kind words, encouragement, or a thoughtful gift from you. Tolerance, which may initially seem negative, is crucial as well. Here, I refer to the importance of overlooking minor annoyances or errors made by your friend or partner, especially those trivial mistakes that may occur on a daily basis.
