Dear Future Me, Hope this letter finds you well and much better than I am now. They say thinking about the future can help us lead more generous and fulfilled lives, so this is where I see myself in 5 years or now for you (me). Five years is may pass by in the twinkling of an eye, but planned well, great things can be achieved, so here are my resolutions: 1. I will become fluent in German and Indonesian. 2. I will watch the minion movies and who knows? Perhaps I may become an expert in the Minion language haha 3. My small, short-term goal is to learn German grammar and 10000 words in German and Indonesian. For Indonesian, I will place my emphasis on words that have a different meaning from Malay or those not found in Malay. Jokes aside, to do 1 and 2, I need to set aside time regularly to study and learn. I will also take some lessons on italki. What will the future hold? Good things, I hope. Some extra things I hope to achieve: A2-B1 in Spanish and Italian; JLPT N3 in Japanese; learn the Cyrillic, Arabic and Hebrew alphabets and their pronunciation, and dabble in more languages to an A1-A2 level. These are small goals that I find fun to achieve. Getting past the B1-B2 level takes a lot of determination and fun becomes secondary sometimes, I think.
