Do native Spanish speakers understand better Portuguese or Italian?

This questions are always tricky, because a clear answer simply doesn't exist. As a Latin American, I've been told Brazilians understand us a little bit, but I've never been able to understand Portuguese from YouTube videos. Italian, on the other hand, is way clearer and the spoken language has it's similarities with Spanish. Written language can also help understanding, as some people may not be able to understand the phonology, but may be better at looking at the similarities in spelling. And there's always people who can't even understand the Spanish dialect that's spoken in the country next to theirs.

Furthermore, if they are considered different languages it's because they have quite a lot of differences, so don't expect we are magically able to understand someone from Brazil, Portugal or Italy.
