Wow, I’ve never come across that word before, but it certainly could prove quite useful in certain places. Thanks to Guyomar for the examples of contexts where English learners can use the word.

By the way, Jerry, this should really go without saying, but I love how you gave proper credit to your source and even included the link. That will definitely be extremely helpful for any learners who would like to increase their knowledge on the subject (now, rather than waiting for you to post a “Part II: Word of the Day Returns”

Yes, I have seen ultracrepidarians in language learning communities. They have never learned a language well enough to go beyond greetings. They don't have the slightest education in theories of language and teaching. Yet, they think they can give informed opinions on how to learn languages. Incredible...

I didn't know this word at all but it could almost help to define humanity.

It sounds scary to my ears but also funny, like: "You're such an Ultracrepidarian!"
