Hi,
In Brazilian Portuguese we use the pronoun of the straight case ( caso reto ) like: Eu, tu, ele (a), nós, vós, eles (as) them as we refer to the subject of the sentence. The tonic oblique pronouns ( oblíquos tônicos ) like: mim, ti, ele (a), nós, vós, eles (as) play the role ( work like the role ) of an object and appear after a preposition: para mim, de mim, por mim, e assim por diante.
e.g.
a) Ela trouxe o presente para eu desembrulhar.
b) Ela trouxe o presente para mim.

I think that I understand your question, and I hope that I can help answered it. But I think your right question would be: Para eu ou Para mim

The words por and pôr, with and without caret (com e sem acento circunflexo), exist in the Portuguese language and are correct. However, their meanings are different and should therefore be used in different situations.

"Por" is a preposition, synonymous with: through, for, during, upon..
(Por é uma preposição, sinônima de: através de, para, durante, mediante)
e.g.
por aqui;
por ali;
por favor;
por isso;
por enquanto

"Pôr" is a verb, synonymous with: put, put, insert, fix
(Pôr é um verbo, sinônimo de: colocar, botar, inserir, fixar)
e.g.
pôr a mesa;
pôr do sol;
pôr a mão no bolso;
pôr a culpa em você;
pôr os pés no sofá;

When to use Por ?
The preposition for, written without caret, has its origin in the Latin word "pro" and is used with different meanings, in various expressions.
1.1. It can mean through, for, in favor of, during, until, around and in reason of, as well as indicate means or mode, periodicity in time, price, exchange and purpose, among others.
1.2. (Pode significar através de, para, a favor de, durante, até, por volta de e em razão de, bem como indicar meio ou modo, periodicidade no tempo, preço, troca e finalidade, entre outros).

Examples with the preposition Por:

Por que motivo você está mentindo ?
Passe o açucareiro, por favor !
Você vai por esse caminho ?

Por mim = For me
Exemplo: She did the research for me = Ela fez a pesquisa por mim (which means: I was expected to do it, but she did it instead, as a favor)

Para mim = To me
Exemplo: She handed the research to me = Ela entregou a pesquisa para mim (Which means: when it was done she brought it to me)

Hi, Dominik! How are you?
"Por mim" meaning that you did somenthing without help from anyone else, like "I made the whole meal all by myself".
"Para mim" meaning that someone did something for you, like "my friends made the whole meal for me".

When to use Pôr ?
1.1. The verb to Pôr, written with a circumflex accent, has its origin in the Latin word "ponere". It has several meanings, referring to the act of placing, depositing, supporting, hanging, including, placing, fixing, assigning, disposing, applying, putting on, touching and infusing, among others.

1.2. (O verbo pôr, escrito com acento circunflexo, tem sua origem na palavra em latim ponere. Apresenta diversos significados, referindo-se ato de colocar, depositar, apoiar, pendurar, incluir, botar, fixar, atribuir, dispor, aplicar, calçar, tacar e infundir, entre outros)

Examples with the verb Pôr:

Você pode pôr o cobertor no armário ?
Pare de pôr água no copo porque vai derramar.
Não me consigo pôr de pé !

Por e pôr: acento diferencial

The New Orthographic Agreement, which came into force in January 2009, did not change these two words. It was already written like that and we should continue writing like that.
The caret acts as a differential accent, being written to facilitate the differentiation of the verb "pôr" and the preposition "por".
Although some differential accents have been abolished in the current orthographic agreement, the existing caret in the verb "pôr" must be maintained.
