Hey, here's a pronunciation issue about maths needs help... How to pronunce "log" "lg" and "ln"? For those of you who know math, the three symbols of the logarithm function make me confused, and I wonder if there will be a different way to read them so that to distinguish them, or are they pronunced all the same? Thanks very much if anyone could give me some advice!!

In speech ‘log’ pronounced “log” ‘log with a subscript x’ is pronounced ‘log base x’. If x is 10, you can shorten it and say ‘log ten’ ‘ln’ pronounced “natural log” or say the letters ‘l’ and ‘n’ quickly (ellen, emphasizing the first syllable) Usually the base is obvious from context and we say ‘log’ in those cases. It would be rare to routinely pronounce ‘logarithm’ because it’s too long.

Say it as it is, “logarithm”.
