90 day's training: Day 2
Could you please check my sentences? Thanks in advance. đ°
1) I usually wake up about 6 o'clock on weekdays.
2) I should go to bed earlier but I often have a dinner around 9 PM. After that I have to do some of our housework and spend a little time by myself.
3) I want to take a nap every day but it works out that way just once or twice a week.
4) I have lots of books and DVDs to help me learn my target foreign languages.
5) I bought 10 new German books recently. But, I want to read my English books first.
Your only genuine mistakes are these:
#2: "for me" (grammatical, but doesn't sound good. "myself" is needed)
#3: "it work out"
#5: "nowadays" (Wrong because "nowadays" also includes the future. "Recently" only includes the past.)
All my other changes are only suggested improvements.
It is not wrong to say "I often have a dinner", though most people would leave out "a". The meaning changes slightly when you use "a".
"Weekdays" means the same as "on weekdays". You can say it either way.
