What is the meaning of this phrase 'Just One More Wafer-Thin Mint ... '? I am not sure what the actual meaning of it. It come from my computer book: >> Just One More Wafer-Thin Mint… It's easy to get sucked into the "just one more feature" maelstrom, but by tracking requirements you can get a clearer picture that "just one more feature" is really the fifteenth new feature added this month. << Thank you in advance, --Socko

I agree with Mytch's references to addiction an bloating. Additionally, this is a direct reference to the Mr Creosote sketch from Monty Python: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlK62rjQWLk (Don't watch it if you enjoy your food!) Just One More Wafer-Thin Mint… is the author's way of saying "Here is one last little bit of information which I am trying to squeeze in; I hope it's not too much...."

This is a reference to addiction. A sign of addiction is that when you want to quit or know you should quit you tell yourself "Just one more..." to continue doing it. This can be seen in nearly every type of addiction, for example: Smoking ("Just one more cigarette..."), gambling addiction ("Just one more hand..."), Medication addiction ("Just one more pill to get me through today, then I'm done.."), and the list goes on. Rather than using a more hardcore addiction the article choose to use a softer less personally damaging kind of addiction that anyone can relate to. Thin mints are a good example of this. They're delicious and hard to stop eating. Girl scout thin mint cookies I definetly tell myself "Just one more.." before I quit eating them. In this case, they're relating these addictions to feature addiction. The main point is that sometimes simple software becomes bloated or even difficult to use due to unnecessary features being added to it. Sometimes new features are fun and helpful, sometimes they get in the way. Know where to draw the line.
