is this a letter to your parents? i’ll pretend it’s a letter to your parents: “dear mom and dad, i know how much you want me to get a nice job, find a good man, settle down and live a normal and an ordinary life. i know- i know- i know! trust me: if that was even an option for me - i’d do it in a heartbeat. but unfortunately i can’t and i think we all know why. somehow i know that there is more to life than just a 9-to-5 job and marriage. maybe it’s naive of me to assume, but i do believe i have what it takes to be hollywood’s next no 1 actress! angelina jolie has nothing on me: i’m prettier, younger and obviously was blessed with a true acting talent (unlike her being born into it). listen, we all knew this day would come. please don’t be mad at me for taking the savings you had for my little sister’s university. she’s only 4 and by the time she’s 18 I’ll already be rich and famous anyway! by the time you’re reading this i’ll be somewhere in west la working on my future (hopefully). please do not try to find me/ get in contact with me. i promise i’ll make you all oh-so proud of me. just you wait! sayonara, lele

Hi Mazhena, How long should your letter be? If it's just a few lines, then no problem. It could start something like this: Dear (name,) As I already told you, I would love to be an actress. I've always admired the work of (write your favorite film star here,) and I had dreamed about becoming like him/her since my high school years. Later in my college years I joined a drama group. We presented classical theatrical plays such as (write a couple of your favorite plays here.) My group leader has told me that I have a great talent for acting, and I should study to be an actress. However, my parents think.... (continue from here) The ending could sound a bit desperate, like: "What do you think I should do? I really feel like acting would suit me the best, but I don't want to upset Mom and Dad. Do you have any advice for me?
