What's the opposite of "literal translation"? Is there a linguistics term for this? Is it something like "proper", or "accurate", or "correct" translation? (Also it could be great if you correct my punctuation in the last sentence of the request! And... anything else if something is wrong). Thanks in advance.

Isabelle, there a a couple of words. You could use 'free', or you could use 'dynamic'. 'Dynamic' is the term linguists and translators use most frequently. It means that you focus on the meaning in the target language, including different idioms and emotive meaning. So, the words might stray considerably from a literal translation.

Commas go inside quotation marks if you’re looking for help there. :)

I would say "free translation".
