As I have been living in many countries, I have always worked as a private tutor to teach my foreign friends and contacts Chinese and at the same time, teaching my Chinese friends German or English. I am a very communicative, organised and open person, so I often encourage my students to keep practicing. Don't be afraid to make mistakes! Passionate German teacher with over 18 years of teaching experience Since 2006, I have been teaching German as a foreign language in Taipei, Taiwan to Chinese native speakers. Because I had had an interest in the Chinese language and culture for many years, in 2005 I moved to Taiwan to learn Mandarin Chinese. At some point during my stay I had to start looking for work and ended up teaching German at a local language center. Right from the start I loved teaching German and since then have kept on working as a language instructor with a passion, gaining experience over the years and keeping up with improving my skills and expanding my knowledge up to this day.

I’m a passionate community tutor with more than seven (7) years of teaching languages on every level I would like to give you the chance to discover the german language and culture. I gave english and german classes at a University in Colombia. Therefore, I have experience in teaching in a classroom, as well teaching online through iTalki since 2017. I do speak German, English, Spanish and a bit of Turkish, but I would consider the fourth language as a bit rusty.

I was fortunate to recognize teaching as my vocation when I was in college, and l had excellent training in language pedagogy when I was accepted as a teaching assistant at Ohio State's graduate program. I am at my happiest and most fulfilled when I am teaching a language class, whether face to face or online (a modality in which I became proficient during the Covid epidemic). I accept lesson cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours in advance. I’m Biomedical Analyst, High German Speaker and I love teaching you my native language. In 2022 I started as a community tutor by teaching german. I also have a lot of experiences with tandem partners and with online language learning ( Italki and others). I think, I`m patient and I know about the challenges by learning a foreign language. For me, it`s also important to have fun, not only grammar tasks... By the way I speak High German with a little Bavarian accent. I also understand Swiss German but I don't teach it, because it is not my native language.

In the last 1,5 years I have been learning Spanish by talking to natives and in return teaching English or German. Without using a grammar book I got quite far in that time. So personally I believe, that the best way to learn a language is to jump into the cold water and to just start speaking. I am very patient and easy-going.
