I am a qualified English teacher but I have later specialised in teaching Italian as a second language and after years working in private K-12/language schools in Istanbul I have started a freelance adventure. It has been a satisfying and fulfilling journey so far. My current job involves not only teaching general Italian but also preparing students who want to take one of the Italian official certifications such as CILS, CELI etc as well as preparing for University entry tests.

My lessons are focused on speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, but I give mainly importance to conversation because I think the more you speak the more you feel comfortable speaking. I also know that motivation is essential to learn a language, so I have my students choose their topics of interest and fix their goals. In this regard, I had the good fortune of taking part in a seminar held by Anthony Mollica creator of "Recreational Linguistics" a method to acquire linguistic and cultural skills through word games and lexical combinations. Imparare dev'essere divertente e appassionante... altrimenti dopo un po' si perde la motivazione.
