I think that teaching should be fun, exciting, and engaging but also demanding rigorous, and with super-high expectations. I have endless time for excellent students and would hate to think that anyone left my classes without being an excellent user of English. My elementary school students could all speak English fluently, write coherent stories and essays in English and understand grammar terms and patterns. I use TPR for younger children along with gamification and multimedia.
