Hi, I'm Martina! I grew up in New Zealand and the UK and was born in Hungary, so I'm a native speaker of both English and Hungarian, and I also speak Korean!
I'm talkative, friendly, and open to chat about anything. I also really take pride in my work - I have taught thousands of English classes, and I'm passionate about using all of my expertise to help you to achieve your English goals.
I love reading non-fiction, and love talking about philosophy and psychology, as well as food, travel, culture, fashion, and anything else you like!

Although I'm a professional teacher, don't expect lessons with me to be dry or strict! I am friendly and helpful and I always start classes with a good catch-up, but I'm meticulous in giving corrections and formal teaching as well.
I have 3+ years of professional teaching experience, mainly teaching 1-on-1 classes to adult students at a premier English academy in Seoul, South Korea. I have taught thousands of classes to hundreds of students, including business English, test prep, conversation, and more.

I have lesson plans for Business English as well as conversation topics and questions so you can challenge yourself with new subjects and vocabulary, and we can also do free talk! I am also a qualified IELTS teacher so if you’re looking for exam preparation, I can help you perfect all four exam areas (reading, listening, speaking, writing) as well as your exam technique and knowledge.
You will have your own online document where I record corrections, grammar, and vocab feedback throughout the lesson - you don’t have to take any notes yourself! 선생님과 수업 시작부터 끝까지 영어로 대화를 한다는 점이 일단 무척 좋았습니다. 그리고 대화를 하면서 제가 틀린 부분이나 보완해야하는 부분이 있으면 기억해두셨다가 대화가 끝난 후에 예제와 함께 짚어주시는 것도 좋았어요. 틀에 박힌 문법 공부가 아닌, 친구를 만난 것처럼 일상 대화를 하다가 거기에서 틀린 부분을 찾아주시는 게 시간 낭비도 안 할 수 있고 더 좋은 것 같다고 느꼈습니다. 선생님의 수업 방식이 정말 마음에 듭니다!
