Note concerning recent fee changes:
Due to changes recently announced by Italki concerning commission structures, I have updated my lesson fees. The changes made by Italki became effective on February 1st 2025; in turn, my updated lesson fees became effective on February 16th 2025.
I propose to emphasize oral comprehension and expression through friendly conversation.
Of course, we can also discuss the underlying grammar if that is helpful to you.
I will invite you to choose which material or topic is of most interest to you. On my side, I have varied interests including technology, aviation, programming, skiing, travelling and more.

I was involved in teaching for many years: as a skydiving instructor for one, and also acting as supervisor for new employees and interns in our IT organization.

René is a very professional and highly motivating teacher, I enjoy the classes a lot and learn many new things from different fields, also technologies, IT, medicine and economics. Highly recommended, especially if you need more vocabulary from different specific fields. I’ve been taking French conversation lessons with René for a little over a month now and have really learned a lot from them. René is a kind and patient teacher and is fluently bilingual in French and English. He is good at keeping the class and conversation flowing and has provided me with helpful resources to improve my learning and exposure to French on my own time. I would happily recommend René to anyone looking to improve their French!
