2016 - 2019
Postdoctoral fellowUniversity of British Columbia - Vancouver BC, CanadáEven though I was not teaching English, my professional experience in an English speaking Canadian province was a highly immersive experience that helped me improve my (already decent) English level up to a near native level. Moreover I had to supervise students, so I had to be attentive to their needs and address their inquiries to the best of my abilities.
2012 - 2015
Doctoral researcher (PhD candidate)French National Institute of Medical Research - Tours, FranciaMy research topic consisted in exploring the mechanisms by which proteolytic enzymes can inactivate antimicrobial defenses during lung inflammation.
I had to deal with a lot of scientific English and also had the occasion to collaborate with other English speakers, students and professionals alike.
