Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm a college professor who loves talking, teaching, and meeting new people around the world. My passion for tutoring lead me to this beautiful corner on the internet where I can share my knowledge and experiences with people that are just as excited to learn about a new way of communicating and opening up to others as I am with other languages, like German, French, Portuguese, etc.

Yo como profesor
I am pretty much conversation-driven, aka, a certified yapper. I prefer us talking about different interesting subjetcs so that we're able, through practice, of reviewing grammar and vocabulary on the spot, instead of a structured and rigid class. However, if you prefer the latter, I have no problem doing a class where depending on your needs we revise exercises and readings from renowned institutional books.
I let my students lead the classes and the way they want to learn. I am at your service and will do everything in my power to enable you to achieve your language goals.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
There are many ways to procede in our language class, and the method we end up using for your learning will depend on your preferences and needs as a student. From corrections and
rephrasing while introducing new words and curious ways of saying things in a dialogue, to going over guides and books from different academies with specific structures that we'll adapt to your level of expertise and interests.
As far as the homework goes, spaced repetition is the most effective way to learn and keep the knowledge in your long-term memory (proven by science), so there will be exercises that specifically train your brain so that what we learn in class, you do not forget over time.Mi material didáctico

Licenciatura/Grado - Antropología, mención ArqueologíaLa antropología estudia al ser humano; mi enfoque se resume en especialización en: proyectos sociales, mediación intercultural y políticas públicas.
La arqueología enfatiza una reflexión teórica con una formación metodológica interdisciplinaria y especialización en trabajo de campo y laboratorio con tres ejes laborales: investigación, empresa y patrimonio. Los profesionales egresarán con una clara perspectiva de su responsabilidad frente al desarrollo y manejo del patrimonio cultural y natural.

As always Kiara was an impeccable instructor. She constantly meets me where I am in the lesson and guides me to not only the correct answer but to an understanding of the lesson and topic deftly.

Classes have been awesome. We have covered a range of topics from art by the Old Masters to literature like Borges and also more light hearted stuff like games and jokes. She helped me write the beginning of a fantasy story in Spanish and the that was a fun way to practice writing. Kiara notices details and is helping me improve in the areas that need improvement. We're working on test taking at the moment and that is also a good experience to increase comprehension speed. I recommend classes with her. Gracias!

Another great class. She perfectly integrated a lesson about Subjunctive with a medical text, as my interest is in Medical Spanish. Continues to be an excellent teacher. Highly recommend.
