Scott Sell - I care deeply about my students. As an italki professor, I specialize in American English: Levels A1 through C2, Business English, Advanced Conversation for Social and Business purposes, and TOEIC test preparation. I value good service, continuing education, and purposeful learning experiences. In a TOEIC class, a student questioned the usefulness of a lesson I taught. She was asking when and how she would use the material. I learned from her that lessons must be useful.
Teaching in a vocational institute, an international language institute, a community college, and in many private one-on-one settings, I have worked with learners and professionals from diverse cultures and in diverse industries.
My teaching experience includes 190-hour TEFL/TESOL (IDELT/Online) and Teaching Business English diploma, Canvas LMS certification, 3+ years of TOEIC teaching, and 10+ years in all levels of ESL instructionMis clases y método de enseñanza
My learning experiences guide my teaching style. As I learned Spanish as a Foreign Language, verb conjugations, accents, and regional language differences challenged me! As a business manager, I once drove from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back to pick up and deliver material so a client could finish an important project on time. I understand and strive to serve and satisfy my clients.

Scott is really nice and always listens to me attentively. He keeps encouraging me to speak more, which makes me feel very comfortable. He also took the time to understand my job and even gave me some helpful suggestions. It really feels like he’s on my side, supporting me throughout the class.
