Hi, my name is Riska Rafaldini. I was born in Garut, West Java, Indonesia. I spent half of my childhood there before moving to Bandung where I've been living ever since. I love singing and listening to the music. Music has been part of my life since I was a little; I can't live without it. Another hobby I have is hiking to the top of the hill near my house every Sunday. I like making friends online with people all around the world. It helps me to improve my English and to get to know their cultures, which I find very interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing about you too in our first lesson!Mostrar traducción
Yo como profesor
I started my career as a tutor in 2011 at an English course. I gave two classes, one for elementary students and the other for high school students. I then started teaching private English lessons from home. I am currently working as an English teacher in one of middle schools in my district. I have experience privately teaching Bahasa Indonesia to foreign children as well. So, teaching has been part of my journey for a long time and in many different settings. Teaching and learning languages is always exciting because it connects people from all over the world. That's why I love teaching and why I've joined iTalki for the next chapter of my journey. I will be focusing my teaching on conversation practice and pronunciation. I'm open to any suggestions from the students and we can discuss how to make the lessons fit your needs. Comfortable, fun, creative: you name it! There will be homework too after class. I believe it's really helpful to practice the lessons that you've learned in your own time to accelerate your learning process. Tests can be carried out so we can evaluate your abilities and growth during the lessons. Riska is an excellent Sundanese teacher. I highly recommend her for instruction in Indonesian or Sundanese. She is patient, kind, and flexible, and encouraging; even though I’m a total beginner in Sundanese, I feel motivated and confident thanks to her. I learn so much from our lessons, and I love that she goes way above and beyond to create interesting materials for us to review together. Hatur nuhun! 💕

Riska is an amazing teacher and I am so happy to have found her. She is articulate, kind and understanding. She gave a clear lesson plan and was very engaging the entire time. I learned more in my one hour class than I could have imagined and will gladly be looking forward to regular, future lessons. Thank you!
