Marvin

Just had my first lesson with Marvin and it was the best class I've had on italki thus far. He explains concepts in a very simple, clear manner and just has a relaxed and cheerful demeanor which makes him easy to speak with. The time went by very quickly. Thanks so much Marvin! I will continue taking lessons from Marvin for a long time. Each lesson is personalized to my level and each lesson he builds upon where we left off in the last lesson— introducing new content but also re-enforcing content that we learned previously. His lessons are catered to me and my hour with him always goes by so quickly because I have fun with him. If you are looking for a Spanish tutor—- Marvin is your guy!

I always enjoy my lessons with Marvin very much. He is a very good at helping you improve your conversation skills and is very patient. I am grateful to him for all the help he has provided me this last year. I know my Spanish would not be where it is now if it was not for Marvins help.

Marvin is an amazing teacher. He's calm, assured, and not out to prove how little you know. Every time I come out of a class with him, I feel much more confident. He has a conversational style that is friendly and professional at the same time. He gives examples of everything and can explain in english if you need it. He works with what you know and is great at remembering what you *do* know, which is really nice. I have classes with him every day he's available, as anything I don't really understand from my other instructors, books, or shows I know Marvin will be able to explain. And not only explain, but explain clearly, simply, and well. I can't recommend him enough. He's exactly what he appears to be and isn't trying to be more. He's a great community tutor and I look forward to every class.

Me gustó mucho la primera clase con Marvin. Después de que nos conocimos hablamos de la cultura y la naturaleza diversa de Costa Rica. Fue una clase muy divertida e interesante. Marvin es muy amigable y se le da muy bien escuchar y crear un ambiente tranquilo de confianza. Se lo recomiendo mucho a ustedes. Nos vemos pronto!
