Yo como profesor
I have completed 420 hours Japanese Language Teacher Training Course, and passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test.
I taught Japanese at a language school in Malaysia for 3 years and one-on-one lessons(offline) for about a year in Japan.
At the language school, I learned how to teach Japanese to complete beginners, and I really enjoyed it.
I've also worked for Japanese companies for 9 years, and have management experience, so I can teach Japanese business manners.
I'm very patient, calm, and a good listener so you don't have to worry about making mistakes when you speak.
Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I offer two types of lessons.
For beginners, we will learn basic conversational Japanese by following a syllabus from ‘Minna no nihongo’ textbook. You can take my lessons without the textbook.
I use Japanese and simple English to teach using lots of illustrations. If it's necessary, I will explain some grammar points in English.
We can start from your current level, if you've already studied Japanese,
For intermediate and above, we will practice your speaking skills by talking about a variety of different topics.
Feedback is always given at the end of each lesson.

Keiko-san is a great teacher! She's very friendly and cheerful, and I'm not scared to make a mistake and laugh it off with her. She has helped my pronunciation immensely in such a short amount of time. I plan to continue my lessons with her every week and I would recommend her to any beginner who's scared of taking the leap of getting a native speaking teacher.

I had another wonderful lesson with Keiko-san today. I really appreciate the variety of activities we did and she clearly puts a lot of time and effort into personalising the lessons. I struggle to remember numbers (in Japanese and English haha) but Keiko-san is really patient and encouraging, and reviews past mistakes so I remember for next time. I get to learn a lot about Japanese culture too, and Keiko-san asks me questions about my daily life so it is a cultural exchange (and I am doing my best to communicate it in Japanese, but if I have to use English, that doesn't bother Keiko-san and she teaches me how to say it in Japanese). I am excited for my next lesson with Keiko-san and look forward to what I will learn next. Thank you for creating such fun lessons and being a joy to learn from! おつかれさまでした :)

I enjoyed my lesson with Keikoさん very much. She is kind, patient, and uses different teaching strategies to make the lesson interesting and put what I learnt into practice. I wasn't feeling confident but even when I made mistakes, she was encouraging and helped me understand. I highly recommend Keikoさん and I look forward to my next lesson :)

I’m having so much fun with my Japanese lessons with Keikoさん - today we focused on particles as well as past/present tense and asking/responding to questions. I really struggle with remembering the different particles and constructing sentences in the correct order, but I learnt many new things today. Keikoさん was really encouraging and patient and I feel like I am beginning to understand particles (particles are something that I’ve struggled with grasping during my own self-study for a long time, so I’m really happy that I feel like I don’t need to guess anymore). I’m looking forward to learning more next week! けいこさん、ありがとうございます♪

Keiko -sanいつもありがとうございます!レッスンはすごく楽しかったです。Keiko is very patient with me. She picks up what I want to say, and corrects it in Japanese which is so helpful! She takes notes of my mistakes and we study it together at the end of the lesson. She even gives me feedback material for my review! What a wonderful teacher.

I enjoyed reviewing past content and learning a lot of new vocabulary today - learning new kanji was also really fun. Thank you for the hard work you put into your lessons, Keiko-san! I look forward to next week's lesson :)
