Shoko

I've been studying with Shoko さん for the past three months in preparation for a trip to Japan, and I cannot thank her enough for all the instruction she's provided! I did not have any Japanese experience, yet in just a short period, I feel I've learned so much and received such valuable speaking practice and encouragement from her. I always look forward to lessons and cannot recommend Shoko さん enough. If you want a kind, fun, and hardworking professor, Shoko さん is for you!

Shoko is everything I could have hoped for from a tutor. She listens patiently as I try to put what I've learned into practice, is kind and helpful in correcting mistakes, and truly goes the extra mile both during and after class to make sure my language skills are improving. I've learned so much since we started working together and I'm looking forward to continuing to study together in the new year!

As aulas com a Shōko-sensei são tão boas que eu nem vejo o tempo passar! Quando me dei por mim, já havia passado 5 minutos do fim da aula. Excelente professora, muito atenciosa, divertida e motivadora! Recomendo sempre, para todo mundo!

Shoko-sensei is very patient, gives topics, helps guide the conversation and encourages you to speak. She also gives study materials to help you progress! She's great!

I really enjoyed my trial lesson with Shoko-san. She quickly gauged my ability and spoke with me on a level that was accessible, interesting and challenging. This is exactly what I need to improve my speaking and listening skills, and I plan to book more lessons with her soon!
