Tatsuki たつき

I've been taking lessons with Tatsuki for over two years at this point I think. I've tried lessons with other teachers on italki, and while they were friendly and competent, Tatsuki is by far the best. From the very beginning, Tatsuki made me feel completely comfortable; he's friendly, genuine, interesting, and funny. Additionally, he has always been able to identify my weaknesses as a Japanese learner and tailor our lessons around those. I'm sure he has many students, yet he can recall specific areas where I frequently make mistakes. To be honest, I deeply appreciate the time I've gotten to spend with Tatsuki and consider him to be my friend at this point. As my journey to learn Japanese has progressed, our conversations have become more natural and we often talk about movies, culture, anime, or whatever else we feel like talking about that day. Tatsuki is probably the best teacher I've had, period. Take lessons with him, you won't regret it.

Tatsuki-sensei è un insegnante fantastico e sono molto soddisfatta del percorso che stiamo svolgendo insieme. Con lui mi sono trovata bene dall’inizio, ma ho deciso di scrivere la mia recensione dopo 16 lezioni insieme per potere condividere maggiori elementi. Tatsuki è molto professionale, paziente ed efficace nel suo stile di insegnamento. Le lezioni sono personalizzate e strutturate, con una sequenza negli argomenti che mi sta aiutando a progredire costantemente. Le spiegazioni sono chiare e avvengono in un’atmosfera rilassata, combinazione ideale per apprendere al meglio. Le mie domande sono benvenute, cosa per me fondamentale per capire a fondo un argomento. Tatsuki conosce molto bene l’italiano. Questa conoscenza profonda, combinata con le sue abilità di insegnante, fa emergere le sinergie esistenti tra il giapponese l’italiano, cosa sulla quale non è possibile far leva nello studio intermediato dall’inglese. Sono molto felice di continuare il mio percorso con Tatsuki-sensei!

たつき先生 is excellent. I have been taking lessons with Tatsuki consistently for six months. He is diligent and thoughtful in the way he prepares his lessons and reviews important vocabulary and grammar. I began lessons with a basic understanding of the kana, a baseline of vocabulary and set-phrases, and a grasp of simple, polite-form grammar. Tatsuki has patiently helped to correct misunderstandings in my self-study and guide through more advanced forms of grammar. Tatsuki patiently answers questions about vocabulary and grammar that I encounter in my self study, engages in level-appropriate practice conversation, while preparing comprehensive, classroom-style instruction during our lessons. As a native speaker, Tatsuki teaches practical language skills that go an extra level of depth and nuance beyond the text book. I would strongly recommend Tatsuki to serious learners of Japanese looking for an experienced and dedicated teacher. ガンバて!たつき先生、ありがとうございます!

I just had my 80th class with たつき先生 today, which speaks volumes! He's an excellent teacher who helps you learn consistently and thoroughly. Thanks to him, I'm not only learning grammar comprehensively, but also gaining a deeper understanding of Japanese culture along the way. I'm loving my journey with たつき先生 and look forward to continuing it!
