Hello, everyone! I’m a native English speaker from the USA with C1 proficiency in Russian. I've been teaching on italki since 2018, but I started tutoring in 2016. I'm currently a school librarian during the day and a professional writing tutor at a college on some evenings. My favorite hobbies are reading, playing video games, traveling, and studying languages. I’m a friendly, open person that enjoys learning new things. I have a bachelor’s degree in English, plus three master's degrees in peace and conflict studies, politics and public administration, and library science. Additionally, I'm TEFL/TESOL-certified.
I have regular experience with English language learners here on Italki as well as at my other jobs. I'm able to teach kids 10 years old and older, teens, and adults. I can teach students who have at least A2 proficiency. You can expect a friendly and positive atmosphere in my lessons. We're here to have fun!Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I primarily conduct informal lessons that focus on conversation practice, but I’m also able to teach a structured grammar course or check documents. In informal lessons, we can describe pictures, discuss a news article or book, or talk freely on a wide range of topics. I'm looking forward to seeing you in my lessons! 120-hour TEFL/TESOL Certificate - BridgeTEFL - 2021The 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate required 100 hours of core teacher training (40 hours of that were dedicated to a grammar review course, whereas 60 hours focused on other skills, such as: teaching methods for productive and receptive language skills, using visual aids, technology, and games, classroom management, and lesson planning).
