Hola!
I’m Ignacio from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I’m here to help you out with your Spanish and make sure that you have as much fun as possible when learning this beautiful language!
I’m 25 years old, recently got my degree on product design at the University of Buenos Aires and am passionate about languages and meeting up with people from new and different cultures.
I really enjoy watching movies, reading, writing and doing pretty much anything creative that involves coming up with ideas and solutions to problems in order to create something new and interesting.

Since I have already taken several years of lessons in Italki as a student when learning German and Russian I know what it feels like to be on the other side of the screen, excited and curious about learning a new language. Besides, I’m a public speaking coach, so I know how to get someone to actively "speak" a language and have four years' worth of experience working here in Italki, achieving wonderful results with my students.
Most importantly, I want to make sure that you have a good time when learning Spanish and that you enjoy yourself as much as possible, because the results are so much more rewarding when you had a great experience in the process of getting to them!Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I’m a big fan of learning languages through comprehensible input, so I strongly believe that to speak a language you need to engage with lots of interesting and relevant materials (such as videos, podcasts, short texts and so on) which are not too easy or hard, but challenging enough for you. This exposure to the language creates a stimulating atmosphere in our lessons that helps you to naturally acquire the language and actively use it in our relaxed conversations.
I will always be there to help you out when in doubt or stuck. You will have a good time and you will unleash all of your Spanish speaking potential, improving with each and every lesson. I can promise that!

Spanish and German teacherI've been teaching Spanish and German to people from all over the world online, adapting my classes and working methods to the needs of each student. I teach the language "from scratch" and offer conversation practice to those seeking to speak with a native/advanced speaker. I also have experience with students who want to improve their reading comprehension by reading and analyzing different types of texts, in order to understand how the written language differs from the spoken one.
2017 - 2020
Public speaking and debate coachI trained and prepared the inter-school debate team within the framework of the tournament organized by the Argentine Debate Association (ADA). I worked organizing dynamics and activities to learn and practice public speaking in English in relation to different relevant topics of high complexity, including political, social, environmental and other issues.

Ignacio has the most important skill that is essential when teaching a language: he is passionate about languages himself! For example, he has learned German in a short time - one of the most difficult languages of all - and masters it perfectly. He knows from his own experience what really matters when learning a language: communication practice. As a Spanish teacher, he is attentive, patient, supportive and very motivating. He gives numerous recommendations on which words or sentence constructions to choose in certain situations - and always has an alternative ready. In addition to these teaching skills, Ignacio has an outstanding personality. His various interests and cultural knowledge make every conversation an absolute enrichment. I recommend Ignacio not only as a language teacher but also as a smart conversational partner. Besides, you learn a lot about Argentina and its people, a wonderful country that you should visit at least once in your life!

Ignacio is a great teacher. I've taken classes with him for over a year and I always look forward to our lessons. (For context, I really didn't enjoy languages in school, so creating classes which I can enjoy is an achievement.) With his help I've achieved a far higher level of Spanish than I imagined was possible.

A little over 2 years ago, I started learning Spanish because I wanted a way to better connect with my Argentinian friends. That’s when I found Ignacio here on italki. Although I was extremely nervous and shy at first, Ignacio has a way of making people feel comfortable and building up their confidence. He is very encouraging, patient, and invested in helping his students through their language journeys. Over the past couple years, I have made huge strides in my Spanish, that I would never have been able to make without Ignacio’s help. Currently, I am able to converse about the topics that interest and inspire me the most, including music, teaching, traveling, learning languages, and most recently, Jiu Jitsu. Today, Ignacio and I completed our 100th lesson together, which is no accident, because Ignacio is without a doubt one of the best Spanish teachers and conversation partners one would be able to find. Here’s to another 100!
