Karen is one of the best teachers on Italki. She has experience teaching and it shows. Here classes are always very well planned and executed. She uses methods that work very well and I have seen a significant increase in my Spanish in the time that I have been taking classes with her. I would highly recommend taking classes with her.

Karen is an amazing teacher, and more than that, a fabulously intelligent and fun person to have a conversation with! She has given me priceless direction in finding music, podcasts and lectures in Spanish that are stimulating and engaging, and provide fuel for our lessons that fly by. Karen es una profesora increíble! An intelligent conversationalist who knows how to keep the discussion flowing, Karen is always positive, has a smile on her face, and makes each lesson engaging. Karen is an exceptional teacher who creates an extremely accommodating atmosphere during classes! Even the most insecure student can just relax and simply have fun! The classes are always very interactive, the conversation flows naturally and the teacher is attentive and fully engaged the whole time. We always discuss topics that interest me and even if I'm not prepared for class, Karen always manages to find a topic for us to discuss. I really appreciate the teacher sharing her views and opinions, as well as sharing curious, not obvious materials with me, such as songs, lectures, videos. Overall, I can genuinely, wholeheartedly recommend Karen as a teacher and her classes!
