🌎 Deyanira

Deyanira is a great Spanish tutor in so many ways! I was looking to practice Spanish for specific purposes (specifically, I wanted to practice phrases for being an English language teacher for Spanish-speaking students), and Deyanira was so helpful, encouraging, and patient! She gave me space to practice speaking for specific situations then gave targeted feedback on how to make my sentences more natural. She also gave tips on communicating with Spanish-speaking parents and helped me come up with a practice plan. I learned a lot just from one lesson, and I feel more confident to practice Spanish moving forward!

Deyi is a fantastic language instructor who has the ability to understand student needs and taylor-make lessons accordingly. Her intuitive pedagogical abilities, enthusiasm, knowledge of the Spanish language, cinema, literature and culture in general make her an ideal teacher. She can discuss street-food tacos as easily as magic realism literature. Deyi astutely engages learners in a manner that is motivating and effective.

Deyanira has helped me tremendously with my spanish. she is patient, knowledgeable, and has a clear structure for her lessons with me. she is knowledgeable about parts of speech, which is important for truly mastering the language. i've booked nearly two dozen languages with her, and have several more booked with her in the future. she is a hidden gem on Italki and i would recommend her for anyone seeking to improve their spanish.

Deyanira was very patient as always as I try to recall words that I have forgotten as well as try out new words and sentence structures that I haven’t used before. She is always very positive and talks about things that are interesting to me such as hobbies and work. I look forward to our next lesson together.
