Hello!
I'm Henrik, and I am a Dane, currently living in Germany.
A little bit about my professional background: I have a Bachelor’s in Education, from which I am a certified English, Danish (As well as history and special needs education) teacher. I have been working in Danish school for 4 years, I have also completed a Master of Education in "IT-Educational Design" in 2021.
I am passionate about cultural exchange and travel, and I thoroughly believe that with proper use of technology, every person can reach a higher intercultural competence and thereby become more openminded towards other people, and that this will remove hate and suffering from the world.Mostrar traducción
Yo como profesor
As a teacher I am a huge disciple of informal learning. I don't believe that grammar books and filling in blanks on worksheets is the way in which a language, or anything for that matter, should be learned. It is neither fun, nor in my experience particularly effective. Of course, as a beginner, some basic grammar is needed, but as soon as my students have enough vocabulary to start using the language in meaningful sentences and conversations, I seek to activate this language in my student in a fun and engaging way.
Having a good time, having fun while learning, as well as keeping my teaching goal oriented towards the needs of my student is of uttermost importance.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
My lessons here at iTalki could take place in several different ways, depending on your level - But they will all start with a lesson where we together talk about your goals, and it is important for me to get to know you a bit so that we can work together to achieve your dreams - While I gain the insights and cultural lessons from you, it's a win win.
I would use different online tools in my teaching, as well as video chat, as well doing difference pronunciation and conversation exercises - All depending on why you want to learn the language, and the themes that interest you.

Just finished my final lesson of 6 that I booked with Henrik. I was hugely impressed by his approach. He’s relaxed and engaging and is excellent when he gives feedback as he does it in a very supportive way. He also provided so many tips and resources to help with ongoing learning.
