Justin always goes above and beyond in our lessons. Coming from a unique language background, it's hard for me to learn Cantonese in a traditional classroom setting. I was impressed by his ability to identify my skillset pretty quickly, then personalize our lessons accordingly to work on the areas that need improvement. Thank you for re-teaching me my first language through my areas of interest!

Justin is an amazing teacher that I have been seeing regularly for a few weeks now. I believe he is not only a good teacher but also someone you can be firm friends with. I am a Cantonese native from Hong Kong as well, however as I did not go to a local school, there is a lot of specialist vocabulary, idioms, colloquial slangs that I am not familiar with and Justin has been able to help me translate. He is someone that I feel comfortable enough around to do that without feeling embarrassed. He is also someone you can talk about deeper conversation topics with, such as the Hong Kong political issues, cultural differences between locals and non-locals, what the education system and healthcare system is like, the housing crisis, mental health stigmas and interpersonal relationships in Hong Kong. I am always interested to hear his opinion. I would highly recommend him if you want to not just learn Cantonese, but also eager to get a true local's perspective on living in Hong Kong!

Justin is good at speaking in a way that helps you to pick up on spoken Cantonese. He takes notes to help you remember content that was covered in class.
