Sonia is an extremely kind and patient teacher, and gives feedback that is both useful and honest during class. I could not recommend her more!

Sonia's lessons are excellent. They are always creative, detailed and fun. I really feel that I'm learning a lot but also having a great time. Her knowledge of photography, film and culture make these lessons very different (in a positive way) from other teachers I have had. I'd definitely recommend her.

Sonia - the best.

Sonia is a wonderful teacher. I just started learning Italian two months ago in preparation for a vacation to Italy. I'm already speaking and understanding Italian. I feel confident that I will be using what I've learned in class with her while I'm there! Sonia's lessons for me, a beginner, are focused around brief grammar lessons followed by spoken games. The games are interactive, interesting, and filled with quiet pedagogy that works. For instance, we've been playing a crossword game where I have to describe a word without saying it and Sonia has to guess it. Of course, it's fun but it's also very useful in actual conversation to be able to describe something when you don't know what it's called. I highly recommend Sonia for those who already have a background in another romance language like me. She knows how to take advantage of that and get you learning fast.
