Hello! I’m Tiju Issac, a passionate and dedicated deaf educator. I love to explore new places, work with technology, and share my knowledge with everyone I meet—whether they are hearing or deaf. I am fluent in five sign languages, including American Sign Language (ASL), Indian Sign Language, Russian Sign Language, and International Sign Language, with ASL being my first language.

I’m excited to guide you step by step through learning American Sign Language (ASL). My lessons focus on helping you become fluent and clear in communication, teaching you the correct use of signs and facial expressions, which are essential for meaning in Deaf communication. You’ll learn 300 important sign words, along with 100 key sentences based on Deaf grammar, to build your skills.
We’ll also engage in practical conversation exercises, giving you the confidence to communicate effectively with the Deaf community. As a Deaf teacher, I offer a unique insight into Deaf life and culture.

In our lessons, we cover a variety of important topics, including vocabulary, handshapes in sign language, facial expressions, Deaf culture, and more. I use practical assignments, communication quizzes, and ASL phrase practice to help you strengthen your understanding of the language.

Wow! Tiju was so great. I know some very basic ASL and wanted to try out iTalki. I absolutely recommend Tiju. He is very patient and kind. I feel excited for another lesson.
