Hello! I'm Vito from Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, China. I’m a native Chinese Mandarin speaker, and can speak English too. I graduated from Zhejiang normal University in 2010. I got the CTCSOL (Certificate for Teacher of Chinese to Speakers of Other Language) in 2021. I like movies, hiking, travelling and cultures. I have been teaching Chinese on Italki for five years and will teach here for a long time. I got the CTCSOL (Certificate for Teacher of Chinese to Speakers of Other Language) in 2021. I have helped many students with their Chinese learning, including speaking, reanding and listening skills, and some of them have passed HSK and HSKK examination, including HSK 6 and HSKK advanced level! Withing these experiences, I'm sure that i can help you to improve your Chinese! Every week I really look forward to my lesson with Vito. It's always enjoyable and he makes sure to work previous vocabulary and grammatical structures into our lesson topics while adding new vocabulary or grammar each week as well. He is always patient and supportive and I was able to learn enough Mandarin to be able to visit Beijing this summer and navigate the city on my own. It was an amazing experience!

Teacher Chen always does a great job going over my specific needs: pronunciation, conversation, grammar, vocab, etc. He always gives the additional context which helps me learn and also keeps me engaged. He is entertaining just to have a conversation with as we discuss different perspectives and cultures. I have been meeting with him for months and have vastly improved my conversational skills, grammar, pronunciation, vocab, and writing. I would highly recommend Teacher Chen!

Vito is fun and likable, with great teaching skills. He tailors the lessons to my son's level; he is engaging, and understanding, and he covers a lot of different topics. Did I mention that Vito's punctuality is AMAZING? I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn Mandarin!
