I'm a French/English teacher and native speaker, originally from Montreal, Canada.
I have been living in Latin America for the past 6+ years, mostly in the beautiful countries of Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, and now in Argentina. I am very passionate about languages, travels and photography.

I'm proactive, attentive and patient. I know French has its challenges, but I will help you find an easy AND fun way to learn. Moreover, I am very structured and organized in order to meet all of my students' needs.

Conversation classes are best suited for an intermediate/advanced student who wants to learn new expressions, work on vocabulary and develop her/his critical skills, through a variety of discussions. I always provide constructive feedback; we can certainly address and review mistakes, if necessary.
I also specialize in structured French classes, which are ideal for beginners or intermediates. We will be able to cover various grammatical notions, learn new vocabulary, and work on your pronunciation. For those who start from zero, we can communicate in English or Spanish, in order to make a smooth transition into speaking more and more French together, as we move forward.Mi material didáctico

Julien is truly a master in the art of teaching languages, particularly for those looking to communicate effectively and with fluidity in the real world. I have had numerous French teachers online and in person, and, like other reviewers have stated, Julien is the best. I have taken over 40 hours of classes with Julien, and I feel very lucky to have found him.
Julien is prepared, professional, patient, and a genuinely very cool person. He engages me in conversations about a wide variety of interesting topics, holds me to high standards without being overly prescriptive, and corrects my errors in grammar, pronunciation, etc. immediately. As someone who was a first timer and had never had a "real" conversation in French, I was initially pretty apprehensive about speaking. Julien helped me feel at ease on day one and, after more than a dozen lessons together, I've definitely felt way more comfortable.
He's always prepared (even when I feel like I'm not!) and has a ton of ready-to-go resources for every lesson. While there's often planned pedagogy to target specific weak points, we can also dive into spontaneous conversation.
I appreciate that he can pivot and pick up on subtle cues to figure out when to intervene versus letting me productively struggle for a bit, a crucial teaching skill, but not something everyone executes well. Anyway, si vous voulez progresser en français avec une bonne structure, tout en vous amusant, je vous le recommande fortement!
