Matheus Pereira

Matheus is a great teacher - he is patient and gently corrects me in a way that doesn’t make me feel self-conscious. His English is strong, too, so he’s a good resource for when I don’t understand something in portuguese well enough. He’s also a cool and interesting guy! So it’s enjoyable talking with him. I highly recommend him!

Matheus has been an excellent conversation partner. He quickly gauged my level of proficiency and adapted his instruction to meet my needs. He's patient, easy to talk to, and provides constructive feedback that helps me improve my language skills.

My first lesson with Matheus was great! He is very friendly and fun to talk to. I could tell he has a lot of experience teaching by the way that he directed the conversation, quickly evaluating and adapting to my current level. I like that he takes the time to explain grammar or vocabulary as needed during the conversation, although I'm sure he can adapt this to your preference. As someone who has studied Spanish and French, I also find it to be a huge plus that he is well-versed in Spanish and French as well, to help me notice when those languages creep into my Portuguese. Matheus is a kind and patient teacher. He does a great job of speaking at an easy pace to understand but still sticks to Portuguese the entire lesson. He is encouraging, open minded, and helpful :) If you're still unsure, just do a short trial lesson and he will immediately put you at ease.

Just had my first lesson with Matheus. He's super easy to talk to in terms of finding a topic to talk about and his portugese is also very easy to understand.
