Hi, I'm Wella from Xi'an, China, where the famous terracotta warriors from! I'm a native Chinese speaker with great passion on language. I'm a freelance English-Chinese interpreter/translator and a freelance photographer as well. I love life which always warms me and surprises me. Sharing and disseminating Chinese culture and language is always where my passion is, and where my responsibility is as a language worker. I'd like to help more people learn practical Mandarin from basis to professional, and feel the fun of it.

Yo como profesor
I‘ve been working as a local custom and culture disseminator for two years, teaching people from different countries how to do Chinese calligraphy, how to appreciate Chinese water-ink paintings and how to better understand Chinese culture. I'm now a freelance English-Chinese interpreter and translator, participating different kinds of international meetings and offering language service for government officials, entrepreneurs and business groups.

I am a person with humor and endearing characteristic, I can teach Mandarin to people from small kids to office workers and to professionals, we'll have many laugh without feeling bored. I can offer you basic Pinyin learning, dialogue practicing and oral-speaking training (including special terms and dialogues in different professions), I can also teach you interesting Chinese culture if you like that.

Wella was really kind and funny. I enjoyed meeting her for our first lesson and trying my best to do a self introduction (自我介绍). She adapted to my speaking style and helped me with words I don't know while still continuing the conversation. Speak again next time! ^o^

Wella is an awesome teacher! Her lessons are packed with value and I have a lot to study between lessons - which I love. She was very encouraging and personalized the phrases we were working on - for example my hairless cat made an appearance in our lesson and she taught me how to talk about my pets! I loved the personalization. Wella speaks very good English as well which is incredibly helpful for me because I can ask her questions about what I am learning and her answers are very clear and help me understand and contextualize the lesson! I can't wait to continue with her!
