Hello! I'm Claudia, I'm 24 years old and from the UK. I am currently studying a master’s, but enjoy teaching part time on the side. I am confident, outgoing and a positive person, and I have a big passion for learning languages, which I would like to share and pass on to my students. I am part of a modern foreign language mentoring group at my university, which helps young students to explore different languages and cultures. I have been teaching English as a foreign language for 3 years, one year in a bilingual secondary school in Madrid and two years online on Italki. I have completed an advanced 150 hour TEFL course, which has taught me the best methods to teach students of all ages and levels. I have a lot of enthusiasm and energy which I will bring to English classes to make them as enjoyable and productive as possible, and I will always be punctual and organised for our classes. I am very adaptable and am willing to change my style and method of teaching to fit the student and their preferred way of learning. I will ensure that the activities and exercises in class are well-suited to the student so that they can achieve as much as possible. 150 hour Advanced TEFL Certificate - TEFL - 2021The course showed me how to teach grammar, listening, reading, writing and speaking skills, as well as how to work with individual students, and tailor my teaching to the student's needs and learning style. My knowledge and understanding of the material taught was examined through several end of unit tests where I had to achieve a certain mark to be able to pass.

English Language AssistantI worked as an English Language Assistant in a bilingual high school in Madrid, and thoroughly enjoyed the role. I helped the students with English in a variety of subjects, including individual speaking classes to prepare them for the Cambridge exams, specifically KET, PET, and First Certificate. The work was very rewarding and I enjoyed conversing with the students and seeing them become more confident, and ultimately, improve their language abilities.

I just had a casual chat with Claudia to practice my conversational English and it was really enjoyable as we talked about different topics.
The class was relaxed and fun. Claudia did prepare some learning materials so that we could practice together during the class. She is patient and helpful, I will definitely recommend her to all of you.
