Adult education is my preference and expertise, but I regularly help secondary school students with their studies. I teach English mostly for Hungarians and Hungarian mostly for those who speak English. I prepare my students for language tests, job interviews and the Hungarian citizenship exam. Qualified teacher with over 20 years experience I have always loved languages and have learnt them from an early age as a child. This was my main motivation to become a teacher over 20 years ago. Apart from teaching I have also spent time contracting to a language school based at one of the universities in Auckland to develop teaching materials for new teachers to help them on their teacher training journey. I completed my Master of Education with First Class Honours which I believe enhances my knowledge about education in general and also my teaching practice.

I have taught different levels and age groups from beginners to advanced students. My students describe my lessons as engaging, creative and thought-provoking. They also appreciate my patient, friendly and warm approach to their learning. I have extensive experience with preparing students for the FCE and Advanced Cambridge exams. In my teaching, I draw on the experience I gained while becoming proficient in several languages myself, especially when explaining grammar or when sharing tips and tricks for retaining new vocabulary.

Hungarian: citizenship interview preparation/general teaching, German: grammar/communication/exams I am an open-minded and curious teacher who is eager to learn as much as possible about people and the world. This means that I will be genuinely interested in whatever interests you! :) For me, communication is key when learning a language, so I will encourage you to speak as much as possible - if that is what you want. If you'd rather focus on grammar, listening, or anything else, of course, we can do that. In our first meeting, we’ll discuss your goals, and we will work towards them.
