Entertaining Japanese! I've been professionally teaching Japanese for about three years. My specialties are casual Japanese and teaching phrases that only native speakers use! I help my students avoid directly translating things, as this often results in creating unnatural expressions (E.g When we hang out and friends look a bit bored, we don't say "Are you bored? We say "Do you wanna do something different? （何か違うことする？）in Japanese). Also, I break down common formal Japanese expressions and explain how you can make casual phrases with them. So that you can see the difference and pick proper expressions when you speak or write!

Let's talk a lot of Japanese that you know in a relaxing class! I've been a Japanese teacher for 5 years, with 3 years on italki and 2 at other institutions. I started studying education and psychology at university in 2025. My goal is to create a safe and understanding learning environment that boosts learning outcomes. I prioritize building a relaxed atmosphere where you can learn comfortably. Due to work and university commitments, I can only offer up to 3 hours of lessons per day. However, I use my experience to pack each lesson with valuable learning. I've conducted over 2,000 lessons on italki and around 500 at my previous company. With limited time, I strive to deliver at least one new discovery in every lesson.

I do not teaching you, but do COACHING you as a native speaker and a language learner as well. A lot of people just study in solitude. But there's a huge gap between studying alone and actually speaking to a native speaker or somebody else. I consider myself is a friendly and patient coach (not a teacher^^), always trying to encourage learners to speak and practice more.
