I have my teaching degree from Norway and worked as a teacher in Norway after I graduated from college. I also worked several years in the USA as a teacher teaching grades 1-3. Since 2012 I have worked as a Norwegian teacher at Madison College in Madison Wisconsin. I also teach Norwegian for the US Air Force online and do Norwegian tutoring in person and online.

It is the most common preference of students to learn 50% theory (following text- and workbooks), and 50% speaking practice. Improve vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and speaking using real and interesting resources like TV, articles etc. popular! CARTOON-lesson. Watch a cartoon and learn new words before the lesson. We'll discuss the storyline together in the lesson. Fun and effective! Conversation lesson: Practice conversation naturally. Read an article, talk about a picture, or maybe you have a request? Is it your first lesson? I highly recommend booking 30 minutes as your first lesson.

Norwegian Lessons for levels A1, A2 and B1-B2 | Norwegian Intensive courses I teach both individual lessons and intensive courses in Norwegian. You can book individual lessons anytime, while the next round of intensive courses starts in January/February. I do not have a single approach to teaching because all of my students are different. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I will adapt my teaching style to your needs. During our first lesson I try to get to know you a little bit better and we decide on an approach together. I often use a textbook when I teach, combined with online exercises and quizzes, but I am flexible and willing to work with your learning style. I hope to see you in class!

Just taking lessons will make the road to mastering either Norwegian or English arduous.

When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our past sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our class, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.
