It was overcast today with a brief rain shower, and it was also the fall solstice. We took MeeMaw and Great-Grandma out for a lovely lunch. Though Dad and I might have overindulged a bit, we both felt unwell afterward. Well, gluttony is a sin for a reason. My bad. Later, we went for a nice stroll in the park I used to frequent. (Since getting my gym membership, I don’t jog the park anymore.) They’d made some upgrades, but honestly, it felt like a downgrade. They crammed more toddler rides into the area where the swings and playground used to be. Even worse, half the athletic track is just gone. It ends abruptly in the middle—an open circuit. You run and run, and boom: welcome to the spinning teacups. Ridiculous. Thank Lord my gym is so close to home.

Imagining that you are just travelling in China, but find a place which looks like you hometown, especially for German people, will you feel surprised? Yes, It's definitely a city in China that features blue sky, clean sea, red houses and green trees. Maybe you have guessed what city I mentioned above. Even many foreign friends have been there. It's the largest city in Shandong province in east china. It's surrounded by sea on one side , so it has a long coastline and many spectacular beaches. But the most attractive place for visitors is the area where is full of European architecture and trees. Most of them were built by Geman about 100 years ago. It's very fun to look at the sea through some windows of the castles there. Besides buildings, there is another thing waits for you to have a try. It's the wonderful beers. You can visit the beer museum there that witnessed the history of the 100 years' development of the local beers, which has been a famous beer brand around the world. Oh, I should tell you the name of the city, it's Tsingtao or Qingdao.

Today has been a very cold day and holiday again. Unlike many other cities, my city doesn’t experience freezing temperatures but the wind can be quite chilling and some days just feels very cold to me. On days like today I wear my favorite fuzzy wool socks and winter pajamas and spend most of the day, if possible, watching movies under covers warming me up.

It was cloudy today. This morning, a friend’s social media post caught me off guard, it was her birthday! Since people here usually invite each other verbally without invitation stuffs, and with summer break making days blur together, I’d completely forgotten after seeing her last. My mom quickly helped me do my hair, and we rushed to the local Lego store for a gift. We made it to the party just in time. Everything went well, but I made sure to remove the tag and receipt from the toy. I didn’t want her noticing it was bought from a local shop just an hour before—that would have revealed I almost forgot her birthday. Gosh, that was close!

I have just returned from a trip. During my trip, I enjoyed a lot of unforgettable moments with my children, beaches, sea, local food formed this wonderful trip. But there were still annoying things happened. All of them were about transportation. At the beginning, I booked airline tickets before departing, but on my way to airport, I received a message from the airline that told me that my flight was cancelled due to some unknow reasons. I was so sad and then booked another flight which could make sure that my next trip plan wouldn't be changed, but I needed to spend more money than before. Everything went well until the midnight before the day I would return. I also received a message which showedthat my train was cancelled. I was really crazy at that moment. So, I decided to spend extra 2000 Yuan to book a flight. Fortunately, Inever received any message from the airline. I got home a few hours later. So, what kind of transportation do I like? I have no idea.
